2024 Legislative Scorecard released
Voces Unidas Action Fund released its 2024 Legislative Scorecard, tracking the votes of all state lawmakers against our legislative priorities during the 2024 legislative session, with a special focus on the five local state lawmakers representing Garfield, Eagle, Pitkin, Lake and Summit counties.

Voces Unidas actively lobbies for or against legislative proposals based on how they impact the central-mountain Latino community. Our positions on legislation are informed by community leaders from across the region and polling research of Latino voters.
This year's legislative scorecard examined lawmakers’ votes on 37 bills across seven policy areas — Immigrant Rights, Environmental/Climate Justice, Health/Reproductive Justice, Housing/Economic Justice, Gun Safety/Criminal Justice Reform, Civil Rights/Democracy and Education Justice.
Fifty-one lawmakers out of 100 scored 90% or higher, with 31 of them receiving an A+ grade in our 2024 Legislative Scorecard. On the opposite side of the grading scale, 31 lawmakers received the lowest possible grade of F-.

Rep. Hernández earns Community Ally Award in 2024
Congratulations to Representative Tim Hernández for earning the Community Ally Award in 2024. While he doesn't represent the central-mountain communities, Rep. Hernández distinguished himself this year by voting with us 100% of the time and partnering with Voces Unidas on our priority bills -- School Graduation Attire (HB-1323) and Latino Advocacy Day
The Community Ally Award is reserved for a lawmaker outside of the central-mountain region who is 100% aligned with our values and goes above and beyond to champion our legislative agenda in any given legislative session.
At Voces Unidas, we like transparency. This is why we track and publish every vote by lawmakers against our legislative priorities. We score every one of our priority bills and then rate each lawmaker based on their actual votes. We invite you look at our scorecard and take a look at how each lawmaker voted.
